Our search allows you to easily find specific lots within our current catalogue.



Type the words you are looking for in the search box and then click the "Find" button.


You can also choose how many results you would like returning on each page.

This does not effect the number of results returned it just determines how many of the results will be shown on each page. Users with slower connections should choose to return fewer results per page to speed up the search process.

You can also choose a maximum price you are willing to spend.

This will return those lots were the estimated price is equal to or lower than the price you specify.

How the Search works

The search uses the name and the description of each lot to identify matches with your keywords.

If you search for multiple words the results will include all lots were either of the words match.

So if you search for "silver spoon" the results will include all lots which match with "silver" and all lots which match with "spoon".

Using "and" or "+"

The search will recognise the word "and" and the "+" symbol. So if you search for "silver + spoon" or "silver and spoon" the results will only include those lots were both the word "silver" and the word "spoon" can be matched.

Word Variations (stemming)

To increase the chance of finding all relevant lots our search supports stemming. This means that if you search for "wood" a match will be recorded on all words containing the string "wood". So a match would be recorded for the words "wooden" and "rosewood".

Capitalization

Our Search is not case sensitive so "Silver", "silver" and "SiLvEr" will all return the same results.
